We all have a mental box of tools.
In this box, there are effective tools and there may be a lot of loose junk – out of date knowledge and data, worn out ideas and beliefs that do not work anymore, attitudes that are habitual but are no longer helpful. This mental box of tools allows us to do some things well and limits our ability to do other things.
We read news stories about people with less skill and knowledge than we have and been able to accomplish far more. What is missing in our toolbox? How can we break out of a mindset, a life pattern that has boxed us in and limited us so much that we can’t seem to break out of it?
